First Timer at this location – I normally go to the Mastro's in Beverly Hills, but decided to try this one and loved it. The food and atmosphere were great. I definitely will be coming back soon.

Splurge Night – Big night out for my husband and I. I closed a large deal and wanted to celebrate. Knew I would spent $200.00 plus for dinner neither of us are drinkers but had been to Mastro's many times in the past and wanted the experience again. Sorry ti say there must be a new chef! Nothing was as good! Lobster I has paid $85 for in the past which was excellent is less now but also less quality! Mu Husbands Filet wasn't so tender. Creamed spinach needed salt and I don't salt! Mastro's Ocean Club Rocks! – I loved the steaks and seafood at Mastro's and the live music on the weekend is the best in Newport Beach. My bartender Pat served me an exceptional drink at the main bar that knocked me off my feet. I find it hard to stay away on the weekends because the bar area is so comfortable and the service is always great. I can't believe the reviews below, they must be angry about the higher cost of fine dining.

Many times b4... not again! – I've been here many times, and the last time wasn't my favorite. We went for our anniversary, just for dessert since we went elsewhere to eat dinner (just to try a new place). We didn't have a reservation, but it was late as it was so i figured it's just two people, not staying long anyways. (around 11pm already!) "Meat" market – First off, this place is in a gorgeous location just across the street from the Pacific Ocean. That is about as good as it gets; when we visited expecting great food and ambiance as well, we were sorely disappointed. The ok food was far outweighed by all the singles looking to find a hook-up for the night. Too crowded, too noisy and not for those NOT on the prowl. Also, the review below mine is by a (new) Mastro's employee...isn't that against CitySearch policy? How unbiased could that review be?

extraordinaire quality and service – been in the restaurant industry 24 years and just got hired at matros ocean club last week!after having dinner there decided to apply and leave my long time current job and join mastros!very impressed and also very exicted to work there!the food is fabulous and yes might be pricy but the steaks and the fish are exeptionally fresh and tasty!worth the visit at least once to judge it by yoursef!

Don't waste your time/money – Sadly, I have to agree with some of the other reviews, this place is grossly overpriced and simply, not good.
