I had problems with them too! They didn't honor gift cards for 1 hr massages that I purchased from them a few years ago. They continued to take money from them claiming it was due to price increases! They had my money for the years but sure didn't pay interest! I should have received the services that I paid for. These rules weren't shared with me when they gladly excepted my money! Very poor business practices, I do not recommend anyone to conduct business with them.
I’ll start with the good- the therapists are great. Now the not so great- Bought a membership through Asheville South’s campus. Unable to schedule appointments through their office unless I wanted to book over 4 weeks ahead of time. No prenatal therapist available in the office at all during my pregnancy and unable to freeze or cancel membership during that time. Loved my experience! Will definitely continue with regular sessions. Love the membership program option! Makes it so easy and affordable to receive the treatments you need/want.
Not going into detail, but just know, they have gone corporate. Use to be you could freeze or cancel in store, but now, you have to call a number and hope they send the forms. It’s really impersonal. It’s very much, we don’t deal with nor want to deal with, call them (concierge) and they still don’t really help. For a place that says they are for you, it’s hard to tell. I love massage envy Asheville-south! They are so professional and always there to make me feel better. The staff goes out of their way to accommodate my needs! I can’t wait for my next session. Very friendly customer service!
Massage Envy Asheville South needs a new manager. They have canceled appointments at the last minute multiple times; the service I booked was not the service I got; had to book months in advance to get what I wanted only to have it canceled. When I complained, I was offered a 3 oz bottle of lotion (according to them a $10 value.) I tried for a year to make it work, but I give up. Cancelling my membership has been another adventure: no one responding to my messages for the last 2 weeks.
