This place had to have been THE MOST HORRIBLE EVERYTHING!!! The food was simply horrible, service horrible. how can you burn gumbo? my date was pissed and I will never in my life spend my money again on such trash. The food was high, I wish I had something good to say but I don't!!!!!!

Was overwelmed!!! – The pond with the turtles and fountains and then the fire on both sides of the stage with the tall fire pit off to the side. And the live band was awesome. Then the food was so innovative as well. Loved the fried asparagus, and I don't eat asparagus! The drinks made it more enjoyable. I live in Chicago and plan on visiting Dallas again in the future and will make time to visit Firewater Bar again.

Gone forever – I'm not sure what happened, but this great live venue is history. I hear Trees is reopening in a few months...I hope it makes it this time. We need MORE LIVE MUSIC!!!!!

Average place – Firewater is an ok bar. It kind of walks an odd line for me between being a big club scene (ie Red River) and being a locals bar. It doesn't come off either side particularly well but also not particularly poorly. Don't think I would search out to go to Firewater but if you are in the area or know people there, you will have a good time.

Lillian Ax Rocked – We came to see the band Lillian Ax and ended up having a great time. People are friendly. The burgers (sliders) were great and I loved the outdoor stage and patio. This place has potential to be a great venue for bands. Would love to see more national acts and texas music.

Avoid on all nights – Most bands that play here aren't that great. The service is awful. The bartenders move at a snails pace. And, the outside bartender made my Jack and Coke in a martini shaker then shook it up with ice. I would recommend ordering bottled beer and nothing else. There is a cover. The only reason I would recommend going there is if you love the band playing and they are playing no where else in Dallas.

Tribute bands $uck!!! – This place would be GREAT if they hosted more ORIGINAL BANDS and fewer lame-ass tribute bands. This venue is way too nice to be used on copy-crap. Why not cultivate the local ORIGINAL talent?? Don't waste your time here unless you like seeing 30-something year old douches put on make-up and 'make believe' they're in Pearl Jam... or Led Zeppelin.... or Journey.... or AC/DC. Very Disappointed.... but what can you expect from Dallas....?

These people are nuts writing those reviews – I go to Firewater all the time and use my debit card. I never had a problem. I did hear of a problem but it is called a pre auth that comes off the card later. That happens at every bar I go to. The live music is great the staff is so nice and the food is so much better than it use to be. I use to work in bar as well and people jump to conclusions all the time. Apparently some personel forge tips on already signed tickets... – I went there for the first time on a friday; it was absoluetly terrible. Service was taking forever,i would have given them a break if the bar was packed, but there were literally no more than 30 people there. Anyway, we took off, and to our surprise our vehicle got brocken into! To top it off, I checked my credit card balance on Monday, and the bar charged me $15 dollars more that what the ticket stated!
