In October 2021, I received a total hip replacement. Dr. Marshall P. Allegra is an open caring doctor. He is professional and straight forward but gentle and caring; from the first visit he made me feel as comfortable as one can before deciding to have surgery. He explained the surgery in detail to my husband and myself and explained what to expect after the surgery. The surgery went exactly as expected without any complications. Dr. Allegra was the emergency orthopedist who repaired my fractured kneecap with internal hardware. After a grueling course of therapy and subsequent surgeries to remove the hardware, after almost four years I am done treating with Dr. Allegra. He is a wonderful doctor. Mr. Allegra sincerely cares about your well being. Operated on my shoulder and did a fantastic job. Has been treating me for various issues and all i can say is he is the best that i have encountered. He has won many awards and is the perfect choice for your orthopedic needs. I am a 45ish year old male that injured my shoulder many years ago and recently reinjured it. Dr. Allegra was close to my place of work so I went to see him. His bedside manner was just what I needed. Honest straight forward but gentle and caring at the same time. Phenomenal surgeon and compassionate Physician I had a same day total knee replacement on April 8, 2019 which has changed my life. I am able to ambulate and have good range of motion. The best part is that 5 years ago my right knee was replaced and has been problematic since. Dr. Allegra was hesitant with doing my left knee because of several complications/possibilities. I was extremely nervous about having total double knee replacement surgery in November 2018. Dr. Allegra provided all the necessary details and spent as much time with me as I needed in order to make an informed decision. Although he was apprehensive about replacing both knees at one time, he LISTENED to me and I was able to convince him that I would be able to handle it. He has continued to provide a high level of support and direction to help in my healing process. I am fully satisfied.
