Typical of any experience I have with anything related to Marshall University, they prove to be completely inept. I had an initial appointment with the endocrinologist office, and was prescribed a new medicine, which they call into my pharmacy. Well, it's 2 days later (with calls both yesterday and today that go straight to a voicemail) and they finally provide the pharmacy with a prescription that they can legally fill. Friendly staff and Drs. office is not over crowded. They take their time and really listen to what's going on with you.
How can you treat patients via voice mail? Every time I call I am transferred to voice mail. Once into the voice mail you are advised it may take two frigging days to get back with you. They sternly advise not to call back as this may delay getting back with you. Now I don't have a degree in medical administration but I truly believe there has to be a better method in communicating with patients. WOULD SOMEONE CALL ME BACK I NEED MY MEDICATION.
Had 4 getting flu shot, my six had mixed feelings, so I asked the nurse if Mindys stuff Cat that. She takes every where could get one. The nurse was so awesome gave 15 year old his then said I think Cat needs one too she gave pretend to give Cat one. Mindy loved it got hers next. No problem. Hats off to the nurse. She was so special, kind and caring. Thank you for being so special. And that’s part of why Teays Marshall Health is special.
put me on hold for 37 minutes until I hung up and called back. wanted to put me on hold but I said no so they said they would call me back. 3 hours later still no word from them! I need my medicine and they dont care. if you go here for medicine for things like adhd or anxiety, quit and find someone better! never cared about anything but filling their pockets.
