Dear Dr. Goldschmiedt, Thank you so much for removing the polyp completely via ESD despite it being so much larger than expected. We were so lucky to have worked with you and the UT Southwestern team
My experience with Dr. Goldschmiedt was 5 star. I had a fairly rare condition which required a surgeon with much experience. After meeting with him twice and calling patients that had had the same surgery performed by him, I had the surgery done in February 2019. I had been warned that my hospital stay could be as long as 2 weeks but all went well and I was released on the same day as the surgery. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for expertise. His bedside manner is direct.
Business response:
Thank you for your kind feedback, we are happy to know you are happy.
Dr. Marcus Goldschmiedt is the best of the best doctors. I have been a patient of Dr. Goldschmiedt’s for over 20 years and I can say that I literally trust him with my life. I have witnessed the great lengths Dr. Goldschmiedt has gone through for the health and well being of his patients in fighting for their life, I know this because I am one of them. If you are researching doctors and read a negative review on Dr. Marcus Goldschmiedt, trust me they are so far from the truth.
Business response:
This feedback is truly appreciated.
RUN from this doctor. My wife was diagnosed with a growth in her small intestine, near her bile duct and pancreas. He performed the procedure and released her to have her in the ER two hours later with a perforated intestine and acute pancreatitis. After an 11 day hospital stay, she was released and addicted to opiates, due to being over medicated. It took 2 months working with a pain mgt. doctor to get her off of them. He is one of the most arrogant people I've ever met.
I am writing this review, while sitting in the doctor’s waiting room with my wife. She is having a colonoscopy today. We have now been sitting here for more than two hours and that seems ridiculous. The reason I chose to write is because the doctor’s receptionist just told us “Doctor G likes to get all his patients in the room.” Meaning the waiting room. And there are no chairs because it is wall to wall people. Consider this before you choose this Doc because this is the standard procedure.
Dr. Goldschmiedt is a specialist's specialist. He performed a difficult diagnostic procedure on me, diagnosed two different issues, and successfully treated me for these conditions when other gastroenterologists could not find an answer for over a year. I have been disease-free for seven years and heartily recommend Dr. Goldschmiedt to family and friends.
Spent a lot of time with me to understand my complaint. Recommended a colonoscopy and worked with my fear of needles when it was time for the IV. Willing to help with prescriptions that work and are either covered by my insurance or offered for free by the drug manufacturer. Really listened to what I had to say and wanted to find the reason for the problem, then find a workable solution. Never made me feel rushed or embarrassed. Great bedside manner. His office nurse is amazing too!!
After a visit to the emergency room he told me I was having "Migraines of the intestines" and irritable bowel syndrome. Never would schedule my follow-up to do the endoscope. After three months of suffering found a new GI and doctor. Turns out I have early stage pancreatic cancer. Mine looks operable I hopefully the delays wont be negative. I would not recommend to anyone!
