No! I am sure the quality of the products at Markman's are adequate. But the attitude of the sales staff and indeed the elder Mr. Markman himself are what I found lacking. I found him to be condescending and arrogant. I will never return and I certainly would not recommend his store to anyone I know.
Steve is cool, Art SUCKS My fiance purchased my ring from them in December of 2009 and proposed February of 2010. The diamonds are spectactular, and the services they offer are uncomprable! They will clean your ring any time you take it by the shop, they offer free rodium plating, and they tighten my prongs holding my diamond in each time I walk through the door. BUYERS BEWARE BUYER BEWARE! I cannot believe Markmans gets any positive comments. After years have passed I still get furious when i think of how I was treated at Markmans. As a young man I worked and also sold everything I had to purchase my fience a diamond solitaire engagement ring. When the engagement broke off I went back to see if they would take the ring back. That's crap I don't know who wrote that, but I'd love to hear the explaination of why they think Markman's has poor products. As a former employee, I'll be the first to say I don't agree with some of the business aspects of the company, but as for their products and quality I would defend entirely. The diamonds sold there are hand picked from the Markman's, Steve flys to Belguim yearly and inspects them. And the workmanship? Markman's is the BEST! – I have shopped at Markman's for years and have never been disappointed. The quality of their jewelry is unmatched. The service is great. I am far from rich and my purchases are probably small when compared to many of their customers but that doesn't seem to matter. I am greeted by name when I arrive and have the complete attention of the person waiting on me throughout my visit. No complaints from me!
pushing me out!! – We were in this week and the sales staff was great we had worked with an older man (I think ray was his name not sure) that was cutting up with us and sharing about the diamons and the Markman name. The store started to close and we said well we should leave and he said he told us not to worry that they wanted us to be happy & not rushed. couples shouldn't work together!! – I was in Markmans looking for a ring I was being shown Diamonds by this big guy, I don't recall his name. He was showing me Diamonds and asking me about the ring when he called his wife over. He acted like I was not there after that. His focus was all on her! There was a lot of flurting going on.
