Markham Nature Park and Arboretum is a beautiful 17 acre swath of trees, meadows and gardens filled with plants from the rare regions of the world with climates like ours. The park also includes a nursery that is open for plant sales on Tuesdays from 9 noon and on select weekend days. This park is my backyard and I enjoy the little neighbors (birds, squirrels and occasional possums) that live there. It's the closes you can live to the great outdoors without moving out of town.
Markham NP is such a great place to visit. Their National Gardens are beautiful as well as the rest of the landscape. We are so lucky to have this treasure so close to home.

I love this place! They feed my need for weird but wonderful plants, great herbs, veggies and I love the gardens too.
