Markham Nature Park and Arboretum is a beautiful 17 acre swath of trees, meadows and gardens filled with plants from the rare regions of the world with climates like ours. The park also includes a nursery that is open for plant sales on Tuesdays from 9 noon and on select weekend days. I absolutely love this place! I drive 20 minutes to get there when I really need to relax. It has it all! A big patch of grass, trees, plants, flowers, a creek and plenty of shade and benches. An educational and calming destination
Markham Park is one of my favorite places. And close to my home. There's roses, camellias, and a nursery. A creek runs along your walk, and it's really pretty and peaceful. I take my dog Jimmy Brown there for his walk... I think he loves it too. Visit the park if you can.
I live across the street, so I go often. But I love it. It is very quiet . you can walk around and be secluded. There is a camellia Grove that is in bloom right now that is beautiful. It has a beautiful gardens from different countries. I love the Australia area. And when it's hot in the summer , I'd love to sit on the grass under the big Shady oak trees.
We have going been going hear for over 20 yrs. it's a small but beautiful park!!
The place is beautiful yet peaceful. My favorite place for taking pictures. You have to experience this place in the spring when the crabapple and cherry trees are in bloom.
A great place for a walk with someone or alone. We went on a drizzly, refreshing day. The trees r gorgeous & there were plants like rhododendrons & white sage. Great place!!
I love this place! There's is always some new discovery to made in the gardens, something blooming something sprouting something eating or playing. The Tuesday sales are amazing too there is always someone to help you pick just the rights plants for you type of garden. So much knowledge and wonders in one place, truly remarkable
