Excellent food and excellent service! Best fried pickles and fried oysters in town, Awesome craft beers. Best server in town - Billy!
I went to Market at Main today for the first time. Our waitress took our drink orders and bought them to the table and then left. We sat there 10 minutes waiting on her to return. The cook saw us looking for her and he got her to come take our order. I ordered the shrimp and grits. The grits were crunchy. They had not been cooked long enough. Also, the entire dish was over salted. The salt overpowered the other flavours in the dish.
Been here several times and normally I enjoy my visit. Today my family went for breakfast. Our potato’s were cold (received new ones), the grits were super lumpy (couldn’t eat them) and we were charged $1.99 for ONE slice of toast!! ONE slice!!! When I asked about the $1.99 charge I was told “that’s what we charge”. The service was good and the bathrooms were clean but unfortunately that isn’t the most important part of your meal. Location, parking, and service was all good. Eggs Benny excellent, but their "version" of corn beef hash was something I have never seen, including about 20yrs working in the hotel business. The hash was like a stew or thick soup with tiny diced pieces of beef, not even corned beef (that I could tell). Got there early so no wait at all, staff was great, great server, (Lilly) Turkey Panini left a little to be desired, not much flavor, had burger here in the past, excellent, will be back.
