I have been going to Dr. Mattingly for almost 10 years! He has an amazing bedside banner! He's an amazing guy! He is the best in Genesee county and therefore it takes a minute sometimes to get into his office. He is highly sought out for his expertise. I have had appointments where I was supposed to be seen at 9:00 but it wasn't until 10:00 or so because he had an emergency at a hospital and had to take care of it. The perfect profession for this doctor ! 1. I was unable to get anyone at his office phone number. Just rings and rings and eventually disconnects. This has been going for months. No one cares. 2. Poor care at the Genesys hospital following a recent colonoscopy. As soon as I opened my eyes, the nurse threw my cloths at me, told me to change, and have someone pull up the car. I was referred to him but couldn't get through to his office after calling them for a week, so finally had to contact Ascension for them to get in touch with his office for me. Dr. Mattingly called me back personally and left a voicemail apologizing about how I couldn't get through to schedule an appointment and to come in at 9:30 AM, which I actually respected. Was very thourgh about explaining what was to be done and did it in his office .
First, I'd like to set the expectation that he does run a bit behind in my experience. That being said, he is well worth the wait. He is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. His bedside manner is fantastic. You will get his full attention and time when he is with you. He truly does care for his patients! Ive had a few procedures done right in his office including rubber band ligation and now a blood clot removed from an external hemorrhoid. Both were very quick and relatively painless.
