I am 5 years removed from cold-rectal cancer. Dr. Whiteford was above and beyond competent and caring, to say nothing of superb in every aspect of my case. I have the greatest respect for his ability, competence and, important to me, his basic humanity.

What can I say - Dr. Whiteford is an outstanding surgeon. I went to him for a second opinion and he explained my options with complete clarity. As for the surgery itself - a colectomy - was out of the hospital after only 1 day and was walking a couple of miles in 2 weeks. No pain, no complications and I am on my way to complete recovery. And an outstanding anesthesiologist on the team - Dr. Rahul Raghavan - post surgery never needed opiate painkillers - got by with just NSAIDs.

My wife and I can’t thank Dr. Whiteford enough. She has been lucky enough to become a patient of his to treat a prolonged and frustrating situation. He impressed us within minutes of meeting with him. He listened, cared, and genuinely seems to be doing all he can to help her get through the constant pain. We are very thankful to have met Dr. Whiteford. Highly recommended!

Business response:

Best doctor ever. He knows how to put you at ease and keep your head up when faced with a scary situation. He explains everything and takes his time answering all questions. Very personable, a true people person. I would hands down recommend him to any of my friends or family.

Not helpful. Have fissure, went to him for treatment after dealing with the fissure on and off again for years. Pretty much tells me he can't do anything for me. He didn't console me when I was upset bc little did he know or care thay it was affecting me to the point where I was suicidal. He told me to, come back in 6 weeks. The pain became so terrible that I had to quit my job. I am now seeking care somewhere else. He was informative but most of the information I already knew.
