Excellent
Dr Whiteford’s sense of humor and genuine care and compassion for my plight were so appreciated. Excellent rapport with patients and so thorough in his treatment. His instructions for after the appointment are always clear.
Compassionate. Kind. Explains things well. Offers solutions without being pushy. Made me feel cared for. Helped my situation on my FIRST visit after suffering for 50 years.
I have been with Doctor Whiteford nearly 7 years now. He is so professional and yet so kind and so down to earth. He did my cancer surgery 6 years ago and is still has me come in to see him once a year. He tells me that me and his mom are his biggest fans. I truly appreciate having him as my doctor!
I don't think I've ever met a more down to earth doctor than Dr. Whiteford. He was fully engaged with my visit and I left knowing what I needed to know about my condition and that my options were thoroughly explained.
Confidence, competence and a sense of humor. I can’t recommend Dr. Whiteford strongly enough. I’d give 10 out of 5 stars if I could. I changed medical facilities and travel past multiple other competent options to get to Dr Whiteford. He’s that good.
I've seen Dr. Whiteford on a number of occasions over the years, and the experience has been uniformly excellent. He's a caring, funny, intelligent, skilled professional, and one of the best physicians I have known in my 71 years. I trust him implicitly.
Dr. Whiteford was very clear, direct, and informative about my complex situation. I appreciated that. He could not do the surgery but recommended Stanford which we are now pursuing.
Dr, Whiteford has been my surgeon for over 8 years. After colon removal due to displacia, I have turned into somewhat of an anomaly and he has stuck with me through it all. He is super good at what he does, explains things thoroughly. He does not put on airs and communicates as plainly as possible. His compassion for his patients and passion for his work are probably just a few reasons he keeps coming up as one of Portlands’ top 100 doctors.
