In 1988 during a wrestling meet in my sophomore year I was put into a illegal full nelson shoulder lock and suffered a dislocated shoulder and it was reduced and put back into the proper angle and sent home with a sling with no physical activitys I put up with it until August 2015 and was in a lot of pain. I had Dr. Rodosky perform surgery on it repairing the rotator cuff, a few bone spurs. I'm ashamed to admit it but I can't believe that I was that stubborn and didn't have the surgery by this surgeon and a great one at the ... read more

I fell in 2007. Had an anterior glenoid labrum and rotator cuff tear. No ortho doctor around would touch me- said it was too extensive. They sent me to Dr. Rodosky at UPMC Sports Medicine. He did a phenomenal job. I knew people who had shoulder surgery done at the same time by other doctors; most of them had to use a wedge and couldn't move their arm for weeks. Definitely the best medical care you can receive. But there was no time spent at appointments to listen to any questions and concerns. . That’s the only reason for the one star. But medically he is a 5 star
