Please reconsider using this provider. Brought my daughter in for an exam after severe knee pain. She was referred from primary. Dr. Kraus was very dismissive of her pain and after an exam with a student in the room, told my daughter she was hypermobile and would have to learn to deal with the pain for her life. Did not recommend further testing. My daughter left in uncontrollable tears thinking this was her life. A referral for PT was put in. Fast forward to 2 weeks later. Dr Kraus is very kind person but an extremely dismissive doctor. I saw him in Oct 2021 for mid foot pain that he claimed was from a sprain or fracture but he was not sure. My pain was actually from an extra bone in my foot that he knew about but failed to tell me (I only found out about this bone because my new doctor was going through Dr. Kraus' notes in August 2023). My daughter and 3 year old granddaughter had our first appt today after my granddaughter broke her tibia. Dr Kraus was so pleasant and positive. Spoke to both my daughter and I explained X-rays, cast, answered every question we had. He interacted with the little patient, checked on us throughout the casting process also. Highly recommend!! I took my son here for an x ray and to be examined for a problem with his legs in August 2023. The provider is great with patients and very respectable but BEWARE if you have private insurance because not everything is covered. I got slammed with a large bill after he got an X-RAY in the same pediatric providers facility. I was told that my sons provider was a tier 2 and accepted for services and the only out of pocket is the co-pay. Anything regarding UMASS however, is a Tier 3 which is 40% out of pocket.
