This was my first experience at an eye doctor… Ever. I went because one of my tear ducts was slightly enlarged… The doctor informed me that the body is not symmetrical and it had been there since birth. I told him that it has not always been like that and he insisted otherwise. I also told him that I felt something in my eye and he did an exam in which he found nothing. I went to see Dr. Flora after my right eye got cloudy a couple of times. Dr. Flora arranged for me to have ultra sound done on my carotid arteries. Both were blocked and that was causing the blurred vision. Once that blockage was discovered they checked and found that I had blocked arteries around my heart as well. Within the next four months I had surgery on both carotid arteries as well as triple bi-pass surgery. Dr. Flora's diagnosis and intuition likely saved me from a stroke.
I went into Dr. Flora's office for a routine eye appointment. Dr. Flora noticed a sagging in my right eyelid. In his examination, he spotted a tumor in the upper lid of my eye. Within two days of his examination, he had a specialist perform a biopsy. The specialist agreed immediately with Dr. Flora's suspicion of a malignancy. My biopsy returned in seven days as B Cell Lymphoma. I immediately went into radiation treatment. Thank you Dr. Flora for being so thorough and committed to my care.
Most thorough Doctor I have ever been met. The entire staff is extremely friendly and makes you feel like family. Dr. Flora actually found my early symptons of my heart disease. I will always be extremely grateful for this. We are lucky to have this staff in Hampstead.
Very helpful in addressing my dry eye issues. Also, Dr Flora offers emergency eye services during non-business hours. His staff is also very friendly, helpful and patient!
