Founder and owner, Mark Lauer, studied jewelry design in college, creating and selling jewelry on campus to help pay for his college tuition. It was here while trading earrings for wax candles that Mark met his future wife Susan, who is now the company's accountant. After graduating from college Mark worked for two different jewelry companies in Chicago, but designing was his true passion. He felt a need to create his own original jewelry designs. Everything was above and beyond. From the way I was greeted the first time I walked in, the way I was guided through the process of designing my ring, to the way it felt wearing my ring on the wedding day. Top notch.
I brought in my 43 year old wedding ring that had lost its diamond and needed repair. Kelly walked us through how to choose a diamond and what could be done to my ring. We are so glad we chose Mark Michael Diamond Designs. My ring turned out so beautiful and looks brand new! We will definitely come back and recommend them to everyone we know.
My 2 sisters and I have a ring my dad bought for my mom many years ago. It has 3 nice diamonds in it. "He called her Mrs got Rocks afterwards". When mom passed away we decided we each needed to make a piece of jewelry from it. It had 3 diamonds so we decided to take it to a jeweler recommended by a family member. We got the best service and advise about our jewelry. I picked my necklace up and it is stunning. We really enjoyed the experience and will be back.
