Dr. Messing's bedside manner is the worst I've seen of any physician in any specialty. He is rude, dismissive, and treats family members as if they are in the way, rather than part of the process. He told my mother that a second opinion was a waste of time, as they would just tell her the same thing. Any physician worth their salt not only supports but encourages a second opinion. We begged my mother to get a second opinion but she didn't want to upset Dr. Messing. She lost her battle.
One of the best physicians we’ve come across. Knowledgeable caring staff makes all the difference too.
Dr Messing saw my mom for the first time today and provided some very good feedback above the issue at hand. He is a very caring doctor that I would highly recommend.
The day of my family members surgery, Dr. Messing came in before surgery and acted like he had better places to be and was very dismissive to all of her questions. They dropped the ball and took TWO weeks to deliver CT results that could have coordinated care better and during her post op visit they did lab work and MAILED the results.. Which were ABNORMAL!!! Very disappointed with our experience given that Texas Oncology has such a distinguished reputation. Would NOT recommend him!
