I am a repeat colonoscopy patient of Dr Mark Mattar. He and his support staff have made what can be a very unpleasant experience almost pleasant, which is hard to do with colonoscopy. Everyone I dealt with was helpful. Dr Mattar listened to me and explained his proposed actions and the results in terms I could understand. I found him through and trustworthy.Owen Carney

Very pleasant to talk to.
Strong understanding.
Excellent service
Dr. Matter, was great! He explained the treatment plan of care and his concerns. He suggested getting a clearance before proceeding with any treatment which I was very pleased with his recommendations. Excellent Physician!!
Dr. Mattar is a wonderful doctor. My daughter had a such bad experience before with her last GI doctor. He is everything we were expecting in a doctor. He is excellent, very kind, caring and compassionate. His team of GI nurses and fellows are the same way, kind, caring and compassionate. We hope to be with them for a long time. it is very nice to have a GI doctor like him in Georgetown Hospital.
I had an awful experience with Dr. Mattar. He ordered an endoscopy, colonoscopy and MRI with contrast dye.. all of the tests he performed he said he could not see anything. He would not give me any tips on how to manage my ongoing Celiac issues and I ended up paying a ton of money out of pocket. His associate only called me a month later to give me a very vague diagnostic. I DO NOT RECOMMEND DR MATTAR.
Dr Mattar is an amazing doctor. He is undoubtedly an expert in his field, and also able to explain different conditions, and recommended treatment plans, very effectively. It's obvious he really cares about his patients. Absolutely recommend!
