My Optometrist told me I had cataracts that needed to be removed and consequently made the appointment with his choice of doctors. (kick backs are common) My mistake was trusting him and after cataract surgery I had on eye that was still very blurred after a month. I went back and and was told this was normal, so why did my first one clear up quickly? I was told I had Epithelial basement membrane dystrophy (EBMD) and another laser treatment was done. The worst doctor I’ve ever seen! He has no idea what Retinitis Pigmentosa is and before he even looked at my husband’s eyes he said there is no way I could have this condition! My husband is 61 years old and was born with this. I do NOT recommend him! Furthermore, he stated “his god” would agree with him! Ophthalmology is based on science not theology!
