I've never been afraid of dental work until I had work done here. I'll have to request my new dentist be gentle going forward; I've usually just taken it for granted the provider knows the patient wants gentle care, (albeit competent care). It's not asking too much to have both. Or is it? For this preference and more, I'm officially no longer a patient of Mark J. Halboth of Awesome Dental.
This place is the worst dental place anyone could take their children to. I’ve only taken my child here 3 times and for those 3 times there has been nothing but problems. They never have her insurance correct, ID number is always wrong and not on file, and now I get a $300 bill?! For a regular cleaning for a 5 year old?! My adult dental cleaning is not even half that cost! I will never take her here again. The staff there are rude and unprofessional. I am 65 and have had my share of experiences with dentists. Awesome dental by far was the worst. I stopped going after I became suspicious of dishonest practices. Doing costly procedures and surgeries that now other dentists say weren’t necessary, padding insurance bills and up sells. And now my current dentist sez I have to replace the very expensive crown That Awesome put in about 4 years ago. How Awesome is that? And yes they are scatter brains when it comes to billing. Dr. Halboth is a great dentist who genuinely cares about his patients. I had an emergency and my regular dentist was too busy selling his practice to even recommend anyone to help me. I called his office and they accepted my insurance and were great to see me immediately. He explained the procedure and the insurance coverage. He and his staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and really care about their job. He really came thru for me. I soon switched to him and would recommend them.
I was a little surprised by the bad ratings. I have been a patient of Dr. Halboth's since 1995. I've always felt confident with the care provided. There have been a few hiccups with billing but everyone makes mistakes---it will happen anywhere. However, the situations have always been resolved and they've always worked with us when need be.
Business Manager and the insurance handler are HORRIBLE. I have been with them for YEARS and today was the last straw. They do NOT know what they are doing nor do they know their patience are. They bill the wrong people. The Dr is okay, you do have a wait to see the hygienist. Just tied of dealing with managers who are ALWAYS getting things messed up. Not happy and I have been with them for OVER 15 years.
Worst ever. All they want is your money. Do not ever go here! you will be sorry.
One *. Too hyper, poor communication to the patient what he will do next, far too expensive for the crummy work he does.
I am so glad I have a dentist like Dr. Mark Halboth, he is very professional. Dr. Halboth sits down with you explains the procedure he will be doing and then makes you feel so comfortable in the chair. I highly recommend him to my family and friends for the very best in dental care.
