This was my second visit with Dr Goodwin, almost a year apart. In that time I had two tests that he prescribed. This was a follow up visit to discuss those tests. One test was very good, the other raised questions that required a Pet scan that is scheduled soon. Dr Goodwin said that this test will inform him what further might need to be done. One visit in the hospital. He was walking into my hospital room as he was walking in. Not giving me the courtesy of letting him know I was good. When I asked him to show me the respect of giving me a moment he turned and walked out.

I have been doctoring with Dr. Mark Goodwin for 36 years. Excellent diagnostitian and people skills. My husband had a very complicated medical history, and when people would learn of his problems, they would say, "But, he looks SO healthy." I said he was like a used car for sale, all spit and polish on the outside -- just don't look under the hood. Dr. Goodwin was with us when my Mother died in 2015. I could not have asked for a more compassionate, kind and skilled doctor to walk us through the end. He absolutely did everything possible to save her and then held our hands when it was past what is possible. We consider ourselves fortunate to know him.
A relative had a TAVR performed by him at Edwards, Naperville. His office staff is overwhelmingly helpful BEFORE you sign the forms to have the operation. They talk to you, answer questions....After you sign, they don't know you...and that's when you have the most questions. After the operation, and all the pills that are prescribed, you REALLY have questions, but you can't get to talk to the doctor and the doctor's right hand assistants are not helpful..you're a bother.
HORRENDOUS! Dr. Goodwin has been repeatedly lying to my elderly mother since the Summer. She had a procedure scheduled-he cancelled and rescheduled 2 times. The simple procedure could no longer be completed by the time he rescheduled it. She has contacted his office, his cell phone in which he told her to call, his PA and his assistant- no return calls. She has trusted this man for 10 years and feel unworthy of his care and wonders now if she gets the run around due to being a Medicare patient.
