Dr Hood did a very poor job replacing my hip, as confirmed by two second opinions with orthopedic surgeons. Dr Hood dismissed my pain and continued to insist the surgery was “perfect”. I still have pain and limitations almost two years later. I do not recommend Dr Hood.
I'm 13mos out from a total knee replacement done by Dr Hood & I'm in constant pain at a 6-7 level 24/7, my knee pops all the time & the Dr could careless. They're prompt at wanting to schedule my other knee replacement but NOT a bit concerned that the first one doesn't feel good at all. I absolutely REGRET letting Dr Hood perform my surgery & wouldn't recommend him to anyone. In consultation before the surgery I asked the Dr if I could jog or run? I was referred to Dr. Hood a a little over a year ago for my knees. We first tried steroid injections in my knee and the relief was short term. I went back to see Dr. Hood earlier this year and I agreed to have a Total knee replacement. Surgery was in July. I have never had a major surgery like this but Dr. Hood along with his staff really helped put my mind at ease. I recently had a double hip replacement. Dr. Hood and his entire staff was excellent! Friendly, patient, answered all my questions and made me feel confident in my decision to move forward with the surgery. Now on the backend, I couldn’t be happier with my decision. I have my active life back! I would highly recommend Dr. Hood!
