My husband and I took our 16 year old son to Dr. Getelman for a knee injury. The doc was rude and very unpleasant from the minute he walked in to the room. He looked at my son's MRI and delivered devastating news to my son. Our son was extremely sad and was crying. Dr. Getelman showed zero empathy or kindness and continued to be rude to all of us. Do NOT go to him if you are a women. He has such an ego!!! I was diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos syndrome 15 years ago, my mother was diagnosed in the 90s, my grandmother great great grandmother and two aunts also have it. I went in for a shoulder surgery because I have a slap tear & keep dislocating. He decided to do the beighton test on me. I have type 1 not hypermobile! Nothing short of a miracle! I’m 51 and needed ACL replacement, plus meniscus repair and surgery couldn’t have gone better. No pain and quick recovery. He’ll be fixing my torn rotator cuff next. Couldn’t recommend more.
