My 92-year-old mother had a hip replacement due to painful bone on bone osteoarthritis. She was using a walker heading toward a wheelchair. Her surgery was complex due to removal of hardware to fix a fractured hip 45 years ago. Her surgery was done under regional anesthetic and recovery was smooth with no complications. Her walking is perfect. She just completed her 3 month milestone and has no restrictions. Dr. Hartzband is amazing. Don’t be put off by his brusque manner; he is the best.
Great bedside manner's makes you feel very comfortable
The best orthopedic surgeon to ever treat me. I fractured my wrist 30 years ago and he repaired it and I haven't had a problem since. He would have been my surgeon for life but I relocated to south jersey. I'm happy for him and his staff for having a thriving practice and I'm looking toward contacting them for new surgery I need.
Dr. Hartzband quickly diagnosed a problem that had puzzled several other doctors in three other locations. He looked at an x-ray, examined me, watched me walk, and thought he knew the problem. He ordered a special MRI to confirm his thoughts. I flew back a month later for a total hip replacement. At five weeks I am walking well and amazing people who know how recently my surgery was and how well I am doing. I am grateful that he saw me and then was able to fit me into his surgery schedule.
