First off, the service wasn’t good at all. The server seemed upset when my friend ordered a Caesar salad for her meal. I asked for my salad dressing to be on the side. It was on the salad. My other friend asked for Italian dressing...he got bleu cheese. We ordered Stevie’s meatball. I talked about how large and tasty this was to my friends for months. RecommendedLast night my family and I had the pleasure of dining at the NEW Maria's Ristorante location on Congress Street in Portland. Our experience was exquisite. From the moment we arrived we felt so welcomed. The maitre di sat us at a comfortable table in a dining room that was quite impressive in appearance. Small overpriced cocktails. Alfredo runny like a milk base not a cream base. Food is blah, no flavor. Service was slow and messed up our order and blamed it on the kitchen which is a pet peeve to me. Didn’t bring extra bread which I was mad about because it was the only thing that was good. No kids menu so my son got spaghetti and butter for $12.95.... it’s too bad because we wanted to like this place.
When we visted the restaurant on Cumberland Ave it was some of the best Italian food we had ever had. Just visited the new location and must say we are not impressed. Had to sit at the bar when there were plenty of tables, the place was freezing, and we took our food to go. We will not be back
Tried the sauce tonight and feel compelled to review. Put together a quick chicken parm dinner tonight. This sauce is hands down the most flavorful jarred sauce I have ever had. Highly recommend!
