Awful staff person on the call when I tried to book an appointment. It was first thing in the morning and the person had short snappy comments for everything I said/asked. I gave up and said forget it. The person was so rude that I am now taking my time to post this comment.
There aren't enough stars for Dr. Ravits. She is an extraordinary diagnostician (she teaches at Columbia) and a better human being. She can walk into a room and grasp the problem immediately. I have recommended her to family and friends and they travel great distances to see her. She can abrupt but consider that good news-it means she's got it diagnosed and she's on to the next patient. Dr. Ravits has been my husband's and my dermatologist for approximately two years, now. We actually travel from Hoboken to River Edge to see her because we trust Dr. Ravits as a serious and dedicated professional, who has a great deal of experience, and goes out of her way to extend kindness and consideration to her patients. Competence, humanity and accessibility are a rare combination to find in a doctor, and we are glad to have found them in Dr. Ravits
Upon walking into the examination room, Dr Ravits immediately spotted the cancer on my husband's face. She's excellent. The office set up the procedure to remove the lesions on his face layer by layer. They did such a wonderful job; he has no scar on his face. Dr. Rabbit's is truly brilliant and compassionate.
My experience as a patient of Dr. Ravits is more then good, it is excellent. Dr. Ravits is caring and in tune to any worries you may have. She gives a thorough examination and answers all questions and concerns you may have. As a melanoma survivor I highly recommend her.
I am extremely pleased with Dr. Ravitz. She gives out her cell number and can be reached any time, reminds me of how doctors used to be: caring, inquisitive and excellent diagnostician. I highly recommend her and completely disagree with the negative comments posted. While Dr. Ravitz runs a busy practice, I was never treated rudely or left to feel uncared for. Quite the contrary!!
I brought my elderly friend, Lino Virdo, to see Dr. Ravits after years of disappointment with other doctors. I must say I couldn't be more pleased with Dr. Ravits, whose approach to clinical medicine is very sensible and carefully thought out. She took the time to take a skin biopsy rather than simply prescribe an ointment and send him out the door. She is a remarkable physician and a very kind, caring, conscientious person -- a true gift to the people in Bergen County, New Jersey!
Incompetent Dr ever met. I had an abscess, and she tried to drain it by trying to squeeze the hell out of it without Lidocaine! I was in severe pain. The worst part was that the swelling and redness got worst! It covered the entire right side of my face! I left the office in tears.
Dr Ravits is a brilliant doctor and a fantastic person. What more can you ask??
