Always professional and courteous. Takes time to answer questions. Diagnosed situation early that saved my life.
Dr. Shalek is a good cardiologist but his office is not well managed. After a series of tests, they called me at 3:15pm and did not leave a message. When I could call back (at 4:15pm) there computer told me it was after hours even though they don't close until 5:00pm. When I talked to the "after hours" service, I was told they always turn their phones off early. (Apparently they don't want to talk to patients any more than they have to.) Dr. Shalek has been my cardiologist for over 15 years. His medical expertise is outstanding and makes his patients very comfortable. Legacy Heart Center (Baylor) has in-house testing capability for all cardiac issues.
This doctor is always kind and friendly. He spends as much time with you as needed, taking time to explain, medication changes, condition changes, etc.
I have been seeing Sr. Shalek for years and he is thorough with an engaging personality.
Dr Shalek’s staff didn’t send a refill order on my Rosuvaststin Calcium 5mg tabs to Costco. Lewisville, TX —- Nor did the B S W clinic call to set up mammogram , colonoscopy, and well woman exam.
This is my eighth or ninth year with Dr. Shalek and without a doubt the best physician I see.
