Waxing injured my face. Quoted discount not honored. – Mara's Salon waxing has caused injury to my face, and they also did not honor a price reduction quoted to me on the phone. I spoke with the owner today and she also did not honor the price reduction. She offered a complimentary pedicure to make up for the injury saying, "I think that's pretty nice of us." Great hidden treasure – Mara's salon is great! fabulous hospitality. Very accomodating with scheduling. Mara is great at making recommendations at what will look good with face type and personal style. I'm getting tons of compliments on my new cut. Also the nail salon is one of the best in the city. Very professional, long, long massages with mani-pedi, and amazingly enough the polish stays on.
Great Salon! Great people!!! AND FUN PLACE!!!!!!!!!! – As a loyal customer of 2.5 years I've been seeing Mara and Emily for my hair, nails and tanning. Not only do they accommodate me at anytime that works for ME :D they also provide me with great service and wonderful atmosphere!!! A great haircut and really nice people - they even stayed open late for me! – I have been getting my hair cut at Mara's for about 2 years now, and the salon is always clean and cheerful. I keep going back partially because of the compliments I get on my hair, but mainly because of how nice and how flexible they are. Correction – Since my last posting, Mara's has been a much more convenient place to stop for pedi's and tanning. And I still have to say that their pedi's are some of the best of I've had.
See Emily – As a guy I would say that this salon doesn't have the best "cool vibe". However, Emily cut my hair perfectly the first time I saw her and I'll be continuing to see her for the foreseeable future. Very reasonably priced too.
Incredible color job by emily – Just wanna say thanks Emily at Maras Salon for giving me the most amazing color that i have ever had. I feel like a hair model with this color and have never recieved so many compliments!! Very pleased customer – I came into town from NY,and stayed at a local hotel in the Hayes Valley, where by chance they referred me to Mara's for my waxing, and hair, which was conviently accross the st. Not only was the salon beautiful, but the staff was extremly helpful, polite, and directed me into the direction that i had no clue i was about to go in.
