great training program for any breed! Escher has made great strides in his obedience training. Before the training, he was difficult to control and would not listen. Through the training program, he has learned to obey basic commands and is much more controllable ?? Thanks!

Dont do it! I took my dog there 3 weeks ago!! Biggest mistake EVER!!! They didnt train him at all! My dog lost a ton of weight! Already he only weighed 5 pounds so he didnt have much to lose, yet he did! Also, they gave him the kennel cough spray 3 days after being there instead of telling me that it takes a week for the body to start protecting from kennel cough. So now I have my dog at home, same as before, except he is sick! Kennel Cough!! He is just really down and so we have an appt today with the vet! Save your money a... read more

This place has done wonders for my dog! Prior to taking my dog to Man's Best Friend I had read the online reviews and was very sceptical. However, I knew 2 different people who had taken their dogs here and had positive experiences, so I reluctantly gave them a try. I am amazed by the progress my puppy has made in such a short time and have nothing but positive things to say about Man's Best Friend. Of the negative reviews that I had read, the things that concerned me the most were the comments about other dogs losing weight... read more

I think i got ripped off, what do you think? I read mixed reviews on this place & finally decided to take my chances & throw down the $1200 to get my 14 week old some obedience lessons at the Grand Prairie Location. Yes, I said $1200(I'm a doofus, i know). So they took her in for 2 weeks & when I got her back, she weighed 5 pounds less, had kennel cough, & had learned how to eat her own poop. Oh yeah, she learned to sit every once in a while & I stress the every once in a while part. They won't let you have any contact with ... read more

They just take the money and run!!! I entered into a contract with Man's Best Friend at the beginning of 2006 and to this date beginning of 2007 I have only received 6 lessons and only gained headaches, vet bills and court fees!!! Man's Best Friend agreed to do in home lessons with me and my dogs after one of them some how developed neck injuries after the 2 week training session!!! After Man's Best Friend did not show up for the in home lessons and did not contact me for other arrangements I took them to court! In court it ... read more

Positive Training. They offer the best training for your pet. Positive reinforcement training is the best way to go. The people here are great and your pet gets loving training that will last. They also offer boarding and more.

Nice trainers A friend of mine suggested that I take our dog to man's best friend and we did because she was destructive. I was shocked at how expensive it was but it really did work and they trained her to do more than stop tearing stuff up. She now listens and we can take her on walks. You can take your animal back for a refresher course if they forget what they have learned and it is free. The staff is nice and the trainers really know what they are doing.

For the new family member Training for your dog is a must or they will tear everything up. This is one of the best places. They are great with animals and their technique works wonders even on the worst animal. I was pleased with the quality and care they use with you best friend.

we are satisfied We took our dog to Mans Best Friend, and it is so expensive, but they did a good job with her. Also we like the fact that we can take her back for her lifetime if she "forgets anything she has learned. PROS: They really do train your dog CONS: Very expensive
