My experience has always been well at Mama Keita's Hair Braiding. I have been going to her back and forth for the past several years. She has several ladies on staff and they do a fantastic job. I appreciate the fact that when I go, I do not be in the shop all day like most hair brading shops I have gone to. The only thing that kind of bothered me a tad bit was the conversations they have among each other in which they speak in french, so there is really no telling if they are talking about you or not unless you can catch up... read more

Ladies do not go to this salon. This place is filthy. The braider's bring their babies to the shop and they eat while they do your hair. They are speaking French over your head and that is a pet-peeve of mine. Also, I paid this girl to do my hair and in the middle of braiding my hair a cab comes and get her and another braider and take them to the bus station headed for New York.
