First time going to try this place out. The sign when you first walk in says "Dine in: please wait to be seated" we waited for about 5 minutes and 6 different employees looked at me and didn't care to seat 2 of us. I went to the register and asked the guy with the long hair if we were supposed to seat ourselves. He proceeded to ask if we were dining in, so I said yes. NOT ENOUGH SELECTION ON THE MENU! THE FOOD WAS OKAY BUT IT COULD BE BETTER!
Mama Fu's in Georgetown used to have great food. I don't know if it is under New ownership or what. They changed their menu and the food has gone way downhill. Order get messed up or rice is crunchy. It's way too expensive now for the quality you get.
Food was ok. But i ordered no peanuts for a reason. I have an allergy. Thankfully i just break out in hives. But how about if someone had an anaphylactic reaction to peanuts?? I ended up picking out what i could. Ate some of it but too scared to eat ot all bc the hives reaction could turn to worse.
I think I've given mama Fu's as many chances as I can. Order is never right no matter what I get. Oh and one other thing--if you ask for no rice, just extra veggies, be sure you specify what kinds of veggies. Last night my order of 'extra veggies' consisted of about 12 chives and a handful of shredded carrots and sprouts. Dear staff, when someone orders 'Just tofu and veggies-extra veggies-no rice or noodles' they want VEGETABLES. Not chives. Good lord use common sense.
May not go back. I got two entrees of sweet and sour chicken and both had about 5 small pieces of chicken in each. It was mostly veggies and rice. Not a good first impression at all.
Have been waiting for 35 minutes for food in empty restaurant. Gone down hill.
