My stepson found Mainly Brews on the internet so we decided to meet there for one of our regular lunch get together. The atmosphere is excellent “ basement pub”. One of my favorites. The service was excellent, we had a very good waitress and the food was as expected, or actually better. The food was very good. Everything came out hot, not greasy and very tasty. The aioli that came with the fried food was excellent. We were all impressed and we will be back for another lunch.
Great music and service. Wings were not crisp enough. Food was OK. I would go back.
I am surprised that no one from the restaurant is getting back to all the bad reviews, there are quite a few recently. The service is great but food is a hit or miss. For what they charge the food should be better.
Went there last night for my 40th Birthday party service was great but had the baked stuffed haddock and it was raw the outside was cook but opened it up and it was raw this isnt the first time there food was not up to par WONT BE GOING BACK FOR AWHILE!!!!!!!!!
Maybe the "brews" are good- but service sucks and the food was mediocre at best..onion rings taste like flour, spinach artichoke dip had no garlic, I had the veggie pizza and it was alright...but we won't be running back.
I really enjoy both the atmosphere and the food! I have just moved back to Maine after several years out-of-state and I think Mainely Brews will become one of my favorite hangouts!
Location interesting - Old Post Office. I asked about its history but the waitstaff seed disinterested. Food was good. Big issue - NO LIGHTS OUTSIDE. We are in the courtyard, but it was never impossible to read the menu or even see your food! The menu showed a selection of local brews, but we were informed that the were out of 4 of the 6 on the list. ???? Out? On a Friday night?
