Where I recommend UPMC because I believe that it is home to some of the best doctors in the country, I have to say that yesterday’s interaction with our PCP’s office has left me disgusted. We called to set up a virtual visit for my husband because his elbow was swelled twice the normal size and he was running a low grade temperature. I know that everyone is on high alert because of COVID, but they refused to even set up a virtual visit for him. I have NEVER had a PCP refuse care in my life. Ever. He ended up going to an AHN ... read more

I am 37 weeks pregnant today, and the midwives of Magee refused to conduct my appointment because I didn’t wear a mask properly on my face. I usually wear the mask in the main areas of the hospital but once in the midwife office I wear the mask with my nose uncovered so I can breathe because I have severe asthma which the midwives were aware of. But today it was really hot and humid and my allergies also were acting up so my sinuses were congested (making it impossible to breathe through my nose) as well as my asthma that is... read more

I’ve never had success with Hamot- any part of Hamot. I have to fight with doctors to be heard. Sad that they don’t take the time to listen to their patients. Needless to say I discharged myself & Got the proper care & diagnosis I needed else where.

I have been inpatient here 21 days. So far this hospital has done 2 surgeries that were both messed up, have lost my personal insulin pens that were somehow locked on their med carts, and decided to hold my TPN bc “we cannot find your insulin”. Did I mention the RN on oncology that yanked out my Power Port cath while I was trying to shower??? This hospital is a disaster.

Business response:

Hello Amy, We are sorry that you had a negative experience. Can you please send us your phone number via private message so our team can reach out to you to discuss?

Love Dr Karim. Best doctor around hands down. If it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t be coming to this practice, the office manager Jeannie is very condescending and just doesn’t care how you feel. Expect to wait hours past your appointment time. The front office staff is beyond rude and talk about you blatantly behind your back, when they think you can’t hear them. How unprofessional! At least go to the back and vent, no need to talk about patients when your steps away from them! Nurses in the back are nice but this review mainly ... read more
