Great food I go here for their lunch buffet about once a month. It is always wonderful, but I highly recommend Tuesdays, as that is the day that they have this amazing cauliflower dish (I do NOT know the name of it, nor have I been able to duplicate it at home). It is always very crowded at lunch, so I recommend going early if you can swing it. It's definitely worth it though! And don't forget about the dosa that is incluced with the lunch buffet price! TASTY!
Madras Pavilion This place is great for south Indian vege food. Lunch buffet is especially good. They serve hot dosas separately which is included in the price, so dont forget to ask for one!
Only decent south Indian restaurant in town MP as it is lovingly known to its patrons serves the most consistent, tasty and authentic South Indian food in Austin. They are always full at lunch. There is a wide variety of dishes for lunch. Food is steaming hot. Front of the restaurant is brightly lit through the windows. Good catering I have been to all the MPs (Madras Pavilions) in Texas. This one is very good. Staff is friendly and the food tastes good. I even catered their food for my party and everyone liked it. The guy who took my catering ordered adviced me on what menu items to order and they worked out great. For Indians who like spicy(hot) food, MP may not be satisfactory. The lunch buffet is very good, except that the curries are not spicy.
So very very wonderful. There aren't many places that a vegetarian can just go wild, but this is one of those places. Delicious, friendly and all vegetarian. I could eat the fried cauliflower stuff until I'm sick and I usually do. Love this place!
I placed a delivery order from the restaurant. It's been 2 hours and 30 minutes, and I've tried calling multiple times with no help at all. No one picks up the phone, and it just goes to somebody's personal voicemail. I highly recommend you skip this restaurant if you're looking for Indian food delivery. It's the worst delivery experience I've had.
