Be careful! Watch your billing statements! The doctors have been great for the 9 yrs we've been there. Switching now due to billing issues. Long story short, my dependant had an appt for vaccines and the office billed it to their old insurance (after I had already given them the new card). 3 months later, they billed us for it. We have two older children that grew up going to Madison Pediatrics. We loved Dr Lewis (now retired) and have had good experiences with other providers there as well. However, we now have a new baby and have been unhappy with our experiences at several visits. The new office manager seems to be driving this practice in a direction that is not patient focused. The way billing was handled for my last few bills was enough for me to say I'm not to come back. Nothing against any of the doctors. In fact my eldest child seen Hazelwood for 10 years. I was barely notified about bills and one bill they didnt even tell me about. They refused to take my insurance confirmation number that they sent payment. I have nothing bad to say about the doctors. My eldest son has been going there for 10 years. I had some issue with insurance updating but didnt even tell me until bill was aged 3 months. I had it reprocessed but I was sent to collections. They told me they wouldn't take the confirmation number of payment from insurance. They told me the collections won't either that I'd have to pay out of pocket. They also insinuated that my insurance was not telling the truth. 1 bill they didn't even tell me about for 90 days.
