Very thorough and competent professional. He took his time to do his job and explained what we should do for future maintenance. We would hire him again. We will recommend him to our friends.
Pricing was unclear and after the job was finished, the price was more than originally discussed by about $100. Other than that, the experience was fine. The misunderstanding involved animal removal, which was indicated verbally that that would include chimney cleaning and then turned out to be a separate charge.
Business response:
The homeowner thought they had a bird or squirrel. Upon arrival, our sweep found a large adult raccoon had died in the smoke chamber. Because of the unique design of the fireplace the carcass could not be removed. In order to assist the homeowner in this situation, our sweep had no other choice than a rarely used procedure. Safely cremating the carcass without endangering life or property!
Service was great. He took great pride in making sure my house was not going to have any more squirrels coming in from the chimneys and had to battle with them literally on the roof to get his work done. He left no mess from the chimney cleaning. He was 15 minutes late but that is okay because traffic was bad that day, could have called to let me know.
I hired Madd Hatter and they did a great job. They called promptly and came out immediately! I would recommend them to all my friends.
The work was done in a very timely manner and at a very reasonable price. I will use this company in the future and I will recommend them to others.
