This is the 3rd time I have had Mad River Home Care services. I have had nurses, physical therapy & occupational therapy employees visit me. They have always been kind, professional & knowledgeable. I made sure that when I went in for my surgery, I had their phone # to give the discharge nurse because I didn't want any other company handling my post-op care. These are the group of people you need to heal.
Do not recommend. Worst experience I have ever received.
My husband received care from Mad River Home Health for a year. I must admit I have very high standards for Medical Care, so it is very high praise when I say I could not have been more pleased. The wound care nurses were very knowledgeable, did an excellent job teaching me follow up skills, and were very empathic. The physical therapist had clever creative ideas to improve function, was encouraging, and helped us set realistic goals. A great group-my highest praise.
They sent a woman who has obvious mental health issues to our home. She berated us and treated both me and my elderly disabled husband with an appalling lack of empathy, dignity or anything resembling compassion. I am still in shock over this horrific and completely inappropriate experience. We were abandoned and left without help or care. They really should be investigated by the state.
