My favorite cucumber sandwich is still there and still the best!!!

It's been years since we've been here and it's still as fun as ever. Great burgers and service. Brought back great memories from the past...hasn't changed much in 25 yeas!
Decided to try the Mad Capper after not being able to get adequate service at another establishment down the street. Walked in and were warmly greeted, not busy so received beverages and order taken right away. Enjoyed a pretzel app and shared a Matterhorn burger with bacon, waitress was kind enough to split it for us...I have not been here for at least 10 years, don't get into Stillwater often we really enjoyed our visit.

Best restaurant & bar in downtown Stillwater! Staff is so friendly, food is amazingly delicious, and atmosphere is incredible! I live in Stillwater and the Mad a capper has been my go to restaurant and bar for almost 6 years now! Love their cubin sandwiches, biggest burgers, and their black olive cream cheese sandwich! Totally recommend it if you live or just visiting Stillwater! It is a landmark of the city.
Had a great experience here last night. The guy bartender gave excellent service. Will be coming back again! Craft beer was inexpensive. Atmosphere was comfy. Plus of course all the MN vikings memorabilia. Skol

Love it.....been going there since I was a kid. The cucumber/cream cheese sandwich is my favorite. Great selection of beers and kid friendly.
