A very disappointing evening. This used to be a good neighborhood restaurant, but since they do not serve any alcohol anymore it has gone rapidly downhill. My supposedly medium-rare hamburger was totally overcooked and the French fries loaded with old oil and limp. The main course came as we were still eating our first course. I could go on but suffice it to say that I will never return to this restaurant.
Slow service but friendly. Good food.
It feels like the owner is really letting this restaurant slide. Two of my top entrée choices weren’t available, and when I asked about ordering wine, the waiter explained they no longer have a liquor license. Our server was kind and clearly doing their best, but it’s hard to watch them lose out on tips because of poor management decisions. Great setting and staff. Currently it’s a BYOB as they don’t have their liquor license.
Really enjoyed our dinner at Macon bistro. They await a new liquor license, but no worries, we brought our own wine. Food was very good. We had mussels, salmon, and shrimp dishes - all very good! Plus salads and appetizers. Very much enjoyed it. Atmosphere was intimate, quiet, and lovely.
