The war on bread continues unabated in America. They did not bring us any bread. I had to ask for it and it took forever to deliver. Other than that. Macon is a charming little bistro on Connecticut Avenue and a good addition to the stretch that is kind of suffering right now because there's only a couple of restaurants the Greek one and the other one- their staff is not very well trained. A nice cozy place for a good dinner. I got the short ribs, Brussels sprouts, Mac and cheese and crème brûlée. All really good, a bit on the expensive side.
Got take out and when I opened my salad at home I audibly laughed. $16 for this is ridiculous...
This was a 2nd time dining here. I love the Niçoise salad -- the fresh slices of tuna were perfect and delicious with plenty of lovely salad. They aim to please and care about their customers. My husband had the Coq au vin and was very pleased. We also appreciated the happy hour price on wine. We dined outside. All the best to the new owners - Bravo.
