Poor Customer Service We previously had good experiences with Dr. Mackey, but we recently had an unpleasant encounter with one of his office staff members. Basic customer services skills are definitely lacking. We will not be recommending this office to friends/family and are currently looking for another doctor.
Crouded waiting room The waiting area of Dr. Mackey's practice is the smallest I've ever been in. There was literally standing room only. Also, I saw the doctor for maybe all of 2 minutes. I don't think he spent enough time with me because the medicine he prescribed was for a skin condition that I do not have and not for the reason that I came.
A+ Dermatologist When I was having some skin issues with my daughter, I took her to see Dr. Mackey. He was so nice and caring and really spent the time with her to determine what was going on. He made a diagnosis and suggested several ways to alleviate the problem, even offering several over the counter product samples to try so that I could avoid having to purchase Rx meds.

I made an appointment specifically for my mother to take my daughter because I couldn’t take off work and I told the scheduler that my mother would be bringing her. My mother drives 1hr 45 mins ONLY for them to tell her they’re not going to see my daughter because a parent had to bring her. So my daughter missed a day of school and a wasted drive from Brewton, Al because the employees don’t know how to do their job! I’m furious! I will NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE!

wanted to share my visit with Dr Mackey. Was in this week and every visit I feel like I’m in good hands! Wendy has taken care of me and explained in detail my visit and after care. Dr Mackey is very busy, but the personal care by his nurse makes me keep coming back. Wanted to thank the office. Good personal service makes the wait and cost worth it!
If you can find another office to go to, do it. If you have to come, be prepared to wait no less than an hour. Also, be prepared for everyone in the building to hear what you have been treated for as the lady at the desk yells out your charges and what they are for at the end of your visit. Good luck.
