Our guide, Chuck, was very friendly and knowledgeable. We were able to see the exhibits and ask questions at our own pace. There were many examples of trucks from the beginning of the company to present. I noticed some comments about disappointing the kids. This museum will be most appreciated by adults or kids who are mature for their ages. On our tour, we had an incident where a woman asked Chuck to hurry up because her grandson was bored. Loved the museum! Bill, the guide, shared the history of the trucks as well as many other insights. Really enjoyed how they utilized the old working space and incorporated it into the museum. Beautifully restored trucks. If you get the chance, go!
We made a reservation to see the Cars 3 Tour Stop with my 5 year old son who has autism (I only include that because there was an article just published in the Morning Call saying how they accommodated children with autism). Well, even with our reservation for 2:00pm, we were turned away at 1:40! We did not get to go in and my son missed out on the opportunity that he'd dreamed of since he was 2 years old (seeing the life-sized Lightning McQueen car). Very poor event hosted by Mack Trucks and Disney for Cars 3. It was very disappointing to wait hours in line only to wait in even more lines with a 2 yr old. Many got turned away before even being able to enter. Wish some better planning would have been involved so this event could have been enjoyed by all who attended.
