Dr. Machado is an excellent oral surgeon. He helped me to get access to palate expansion surgery at Kaiser and then did an implant for me. The implant procedure was painless and I had almost no downtime or pain. I recommend him! His office staff is somewhat not very friendly and his billing staff expects the patient to do all the work. If you can look past these issues, Dr. Machado is worth it!
I had a molar removed and am scared to death of any/all dentistry. He calmed me down and walked me through everything. Something I loved it he hid the numbing needle as it was coming toward my mouth. Also his nurse called a couple days later to check on me out of the clear blue. Now that's incredible. Giant thanks for my calming dental experience. I had two wisdom teeth removed and a jaw surgery done by Dr. Machado, he is great at what he does. He is very patient, caring and if I may say again very skilled. I am thrilled with the results!

Careful, caring -- both doctor and staff. Very expensive although I don't have any basis of comparison. Convenient to have offices in Chula Vista and Hillcrest.
Dr. Machado has one of the best (if not the best) reputation in the San Diego area for oral/maxillofacial surgery. He is straightforward and to the point. He is known for doing exceptional & beautiful work. He did an extremely complicated and extensive jaw surgery (both lower and upper) on my mother. This was a big deal...lifechanging for her. Dr. Machado did my mandibular advancement surgery and did an excellent job. I couldn't be more pleased with the results!
Dr. Machado removed my wisdom teeth and put in implants into a very narrow space very successfully. I had no pain or blood in either case! I have a low threshold for pain (i.e. I feel pain easily) This doctor is amazing...and, his staff are curtious and professional. I always feel relaxed and at ease. I have recommended him to many friends. If you want the best oral surgeon and implant specialist this doctor is the one you want to use.
It was an awesome experience with no problems at all! I am so happy with my new tooth and being able to eat on more than just one side is great. Office staff is very helpful.
