Could not have asked for a better retinal specialist. He thoroughly explained the procedure (vitrectomy) and guided me through my recovery. Dr. Maccumber totally understood the importance of treating my condition expeditiously. He and his staff were wonderful in scheduling my surgery to avoid further complications or compromise. Excellent bedside manners. Superb credentials. Highly recommend.

I trust Dr. McCumber with my eyes.
In 2019 i partially tore my retinas in 2 places. Dr. MacCumber reattached both in a single session. Both reattachments were fully successful, as verified in followup exams both with him and my regular opthalmologist who had recommended him. Dr. MacCumber is very professional and efficient in the followup excams. I highly recommend him.
I’ve had multiple serious detachments and Dr. MacCumber fixed them all He is meticulous. He’s the most thorough doctor I’ve ever had.
As a first time patient, my impression is that Dr. MacCumber seems to be very knowledgeable. but I had a 2 hour wait to see him. That is too long!
He is a wonderful doctor who always explains everything in laymans language, for which I am extremly grateful. I would recommend him to anyone.
I've been seeing Dr. Maccumber for 13 years and I feel very confident in his professionalism regarding my retinal condition. He's a wonderful doctor, and unlike many doctors who come and go, I feel very fortunate to have him always there to depend on.
