Dr. Ma was my doctor for almost 20 years and her team is probably the worst in the business. I really don’t feel like they’ve ever cared about patients, but I put up with it because I thought Dr. Ma was worth it... she isn’t. She has a huge ego now and something changed in her about 10 years ago. I have been going to Dr. Ma office for 3 years and I’m so thankful to have her as my dr. She is nice n friendly plus she has the knowledge to help her patients.
I'm not a sensitive type of person but definitely very upset about lack of compassion. Got a nasty letter after I delayed my treatment, and scolded at because I did not finish my prep for a colonoscopy. Too bad if she's a knowledgeable and good in her specialty. I do not recommend this Doctor.
I was referred by my GP. I was called by then office to make my first appointment which I never received a reminder/confirmation. I called to ask about my appointment and if I needed to bring my results. I was informed I missed it. I was told they call two days out to confirm, checked both numbers I had with them and nothing. I've rescheduled and will be sure to send my own reminders. I see 3 other doctors on a regular basis who always confirm. Will update after appointment.

Best gastroenterologist I've been to! She explained everything to me and patiently answered all my questions. I would recommend her.
Worst experience I've had to date with a gastro. Staff is horrible and untrained, rude and unreliable. I can't believe Dr Ma has no knowledge of this behavior and does nothing to rectify this issue. The dr herself is quite abrasive and cold. I wont be returning to her office.
I made an appointment two and a half weeks ago. Two days I prior to my appointment I get a call confirming the appointment at 8am. The day before the appointment I get a call saying they cancelled it because I've recently seen another GI doctor (which they know when I made the appointment bc I told them). She cancelled it bc she "doesn't do second opinions". Even though I clearly stated it was NOT a second opinion and it was for something completely different. I would never recommend this doctor, they will not see you as a patient if you have ever seen another Gasto doctor. According to Jessica in the office, this is their policy and if we wanted to see Dr Ma then we should have contacted her first. I asked to speak to the office manager and she had just left and I was not allowed to leave a message. The office staff was very rude and they could care less about a patient with an issue.. This was very disappointing, doctors are suppose to care...
