Lived here for 3 years while training at UW. TLDR, could be fine if your last living situation was perhaps a dorm. Otherwise, you will be paying a very high premium for poor quality compared to what you could get elsewhere. If you’re a young professional or busy UW trainee, I would look elsewhere. Pro: nice view of the lake Con: - management cares about the wrong things. I've lived in the Lyric Apartments for close to a year, and it has been my favorite apartment rental to-date. The facilities are clean, the staff is very kind and friendly, and I value the amenities -- coffee/espresso machine in lobby, heated garage, dog washing station, top-floor gym with expansive Lake Mendota views, top-floor lounge room with access to wrap-around deck featuring stunning views of both Lake Mendota and Lake Monona. I usually do not spend time writing reviews but my daughter and I had such a great experience I decided to do it. My daughter was out of the country for the past year so looking for a place to stay in Madison was a bit challenging. We rented an apartment at the Lyric without looking at it hoping for the best! Communication with management was excellent and could not have been better! All of my questions were answered quickly and made the decision easy. My husband and I have lived at The Lyric for almost two years. It's been an exceptional experience - the public areas and amenities are cleaned/maintained regularly and kept secure. The apartment interior finishes are really great quality. The property management on-site is friendly and helpful and do a wonderful job of decorating and celebrating holidays. The views of the 11th floor are truly some of the best views of the city. Overall wonderful experience!

I've lived at the Lyric for three years and I'm confident that it is the highest quality living experience I will ever have. The location is unbeatable, the rooftop is unparalleled in its view of the lakes and Breese Stevens stadium. I will always cherish the memories I made there watching the FMFC soccer games with friends and enjoying the 4th of July fireworks.
