She truly had no desire to help me. She made me feel rushed and stupid, just kept saying uh huh, and yeah. Then basically brushed off everything I was saying and told me to read mind exercises online. Complete waste of my time.
Dr. Jacobson is super compassionate. I can tell she truly cares about me, and she’s helped me get better.
I would not recommend to anyone. I do not believe Dr. Jacobson is attentive enough to work in psychiatry. She is in office only 3 days a week and only answers emails on those days, so if you need a prescription refilled, you may have to wait 4 days. For patients on anti-depressants or ADHD medication, this may mean running out and stopping those meds suddenly, causing horrible withdrawl symptoms. Any good psychiatrist should know better.
I always felt like she was uninterested and wanted to get the appointment over with as quickly as possible. Most of my appointments lasted about 5 minutes and cost me $100 or more.
Dr Jacobson is top-notch. She is very smart and aware - yet is down to earth and easy to talk to.
