Visited the ER with my husband, who had a headache where he couldn’t turn his head and his face went numb. We spent maybe 2-3 hours. He got a CT scan and two different drugs through an IV. He still left with a headache and no answers. We got billed $8000 (EIGHT ***THOUSAND***) dollars. They must have been injecting liquid gold. No way does the IV bed and couple miligrams of drugs cost that much. We are lucky our insurance picked up a little more than half, but we are still stuck with about $3500. My husband and I had our first child at an SCL Health facility and it was amazing the care we and our newborn received. There were so many helpful classes to help us prepare for things that may come and we can't rave enough about the Baby's First Ride Program. Any time we get a new carseat we call and set up an appointment to verify proper installation.
