An excellent hospital to have a baby at I chose Lutheran Hospital to have my second child at, and I'm glad I did. I found the Lutheran maternity floor to be less busy and chaotic than Parkview's, and I got more individual attention. Things just seemed calm during my stay, and I was treated well by the staff and nurses. The care my daughter and I received was excellent, and I would recommend Lutheran Hospital to anyone expecting a baby.
Not my first chose in hospitals When chosing a hospital for health care in fort wayne, Luthern is not my top choice. I do not care for thier ER staff, and the ladies that do the registering well they are not so nice. The nurses that took care of me in the ER were very short, and non concerned. I wouldn't send an emeny there let alone a loved one.
Childbirth center needs updating, friendly nursing staff My first child was born at Parkview North, when that hospital was brand new. This may have spoiled me somewhat, because when I recently had my second baby at Lutheran, I was disappointed in the facilities. The rooms are in need of updating; decor is outdated, paint on walls is scuffed, and the furniture needs replacing. My husband said the convertible chair/bed provided for him was terrible!
