Performative helpfulness that leads nowhere. Failure of their stated mission. I was referred directly by my psychiatrist to the Lurie Center and Dr. Bath specifically because I need a primary care provider with experience in autism and disability. What I found was a center completely closed off to new patients. No availability, no waitlist, and no timeline beyond "try calling back in a year," with no guarantee even that would help. When I asked for guidance on finding care elsewhere, I was given two suggestions: contact my h... read more
I echo other reviews when I say if I could give a zero I would . My brother has been a patient here for 10 years. This center is a classic representation of everyone wants to treat an autistic kid but no one will care for them when they start to become adults. As my brother was struggling with puberty and being nonverbal, the care we received here was horrific. Fragmented, uncommunicative, inhumane. I truly believe the provider did not see him as a human being—someone’s son, brother, and friend. My brother suffered greatly b... read more

What was most upsetting was the complete lack of empathy and accountability. The provider... read more
Lurie has been a tremendous help to me and my son for the past 16 years. Since day 1, the doctors and specialists have been extremely helpful with exams, testing, referrals, and advice. My son has used all Lurie services Lurie. Initial appointments were usually 6 to 9 months in 2011. I hear it is even longer today. When he needed services Lurie has been there for him. I thank every day that I brought him to Lurie. The drive was long for me. I used his local PCP in the interim medical issues so that he never went without serv... read more
This place was okay at first, but then not so much. Initially we were referred there for a neuropsych eval, and that’s what I scheduled for. The Lurie Center did some brief testing and sent us on our way. Gave my son an autism diagnosis and also let us believe he had a neuropsych. Several times over the course of our visits I asked if they did a neuropsych and was told yes. It wasn’t until a couple of years of working with them that I found out it was never and actual Neuropsych evaluation but just testing for Autism. The se... read more
